.NAME Domain Names

Introduced in 2001, the Dot NAME universal top-level extension is the sole TLD intended for personal sites only. These domain names can be personal or fictitious names, nicknames and/or other designations people are known by. Initially, only third-level registrations were allowed, so if you planned to secure john.doe.name, you were supposed to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was loosened and second-level registrations were also permitted. Already grabbed 3rd-level domain names remained running.

Through our company, you can obtain your dot NAME domain for an interval between one and ten years. You will have the opportunity to edit the WHOIS info, to park your domain, to edit Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an active domain to our firm if you receive its EPP transfer authorization code from the current registration provider and we will renew it as soon as the transfer has been finished. There are no special stipulations on who can purchase a dot NAME domain name, but in order to maintain the idea behind its establishment alive, the .NAME Registry organization may check who the owner is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain, the registration could be challenged.

The dot NAME generic TLD is one of the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no additional cost. In this way, your dot NAME domain will be recognized in your country or area with the exact spelling in your local language.
